To a stirred solution of 2-((3-(1-((3aR,6aR)-5-hexyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,3a,6,6a-hexahydropentalen-3a-yl)vinyl)benzyl)oxy)acetic acid (assumed 82 mg from previous reaction) in DMF (0.6 mL) was added TSTU (54 mg, 0.18 mmol, 1 equiv.) and DIEA (0.07 mL, 0.36 mmol, 2 equiv.). The reaction was stirred overnight. TLC showed the presence of a small amount of starting material so extra TSTU was added (0.001 g) however, after 2 hours the starting material still remained in the reaction mixture. This crude material was used in the next step of the synthesis immediately. |
